WhatsApp callsBusiness
Calls to the number can be answered in AISAR telephony. On some numbers connected long ago, call receiving isn't switched on yet: AISAR support turns it on. If you don't need calls, the channel rejects them itself, with an auto-reply if you like.
Passkey-protected numbers connect too
If the number is protected by a WhatsApp passkey, the wizard shows a confirmation step on its own. You pass it once in Chrome or Edge with the AISAR extension, which doesn't read your chats.

Pick WhatsApp in the channel catalog
In the AISAR workspace: Settings, Channels, Add channel.

Set the name, time zone and access
In the same wizard, decide how calls are handled, which teams see the channel and whether broadcasts and automations are allowed on it.

Scan the QR code
In WhatsApp on the phone: Linked devices, Link a device. Instead of the QR code you can enter a pairing code by phone number.

The channel is connected
The status changes to Connected, and messages start arriving in the shared inbox.

Limitations
An unofficial connection: rules worth knowing up front.
The number can be blocked. WhatsApp itself issues the block, and AISAR can't lift it. The main triggers are bulk first messages to strangers, the same text sent to many numbers, and complaints from recipients. Broadcast speed is capped. By default up to 15 messages a minute and up to 1500 a day per channel. A broadcast that hits the daily cap carries on the next day.Rate limits by channel
The phone needs the internet. Like WhatsApp Web, the channel relies on the link with the phone. If the phone is offline for a long time or the AISAR session is removed from linked devices, the channel disconnects and has to be connected again.Common connection issues
Calls don't work on every number. Some numbers connected long ago use a connection method that doesn't carry calls into AISAR yet. It can't be switched in the wizard: to turn on call receiving for such a channel, contact AISAR support.Connecting WhatsApp
